Mediation Center of Eastern Carolina is seeking a Program Coordinator to serve youth and families in Jones, Pamlico, and Craven Counties. The coordinator will work with youth one on one and in small groups to provide educational skill building, oversee our Family Connections program, as well as oversee community service/restitution services. The coordinator will also serve as a facilitator for Girls Empowered/Man-up to help educate young men and ladies about healthy relationships and self-esteem issues by working with them in groups. The coordinator needs to have a four year degree in human services and a passion for working with youth.

Duties & Skills:

  • Conduct intakes
  • Facilitate group sessions
  • Maintain case management
  • Database entry
  • Maintain program referrals
  • Networking with other professionals and community leaders
  • Pays attention to details
  • Takes initiative
  • Works independently
  • Enjoys working with youth
  • Develop lesson plans
  • Provide services at Jones County Schools and other local agencies in the surrounding areas
  • Help to provide outreach and marketing for programs
  • Recruit volunteers as needed
  • As well as other duties
